Welcome to my existential collection of web pages. Enjoy your time here, if you don't, errr um well, just change the page! The following information is written in a diary form therefore it may seem inconsistent and jumpy at times. It contains site change information, personal notes, and whatever else may be on my mind at the time :) Maybe you will find something useful or interesting: 2005.02.23 - Got my first programming page up http://www.cogni.to/stacking.html. Boy it took a lot of work translating code and writing an article on it (just blew my one page per day time estimate out of the water, no way I can do that). I tried to stay in the realm of the programmer and not the mathematician to show practical use of the algo and not spout off too much about why it works. Let me know what you think about it (its encouraging to know that someone might have an interest in it). Keep checking back, it is the first in a series of topics I am going to cover. 2005.02.01 - Happy new year everyone. Its been a busy first month for me. Not much time to update things here until now. Got some new information up and created new link from main page to the PBDX forums. Still hacking out code and have had some interesting image processing projects for coastal studies spurred on by my friend Rusty. Fixed up a few links here and added information about my skills to the consulting page. I added a way for people to donate money through PayPal on my code page (hint wink). I know that I don't have any code up yet but I am working hard on it. My current work schedule and project load are keeping me from it at the moment. I plan to try to add one piece of code a day from my libraries, i know that it wont happen that way because much of the code needs explanations which will take up a bunch of time. I'm pretty good about commenting code so there is much that can be learned by following the bread crumbs. 2004.12.05 - I've been very busy lately with many simultaneous project happening and also adding to the normal work load was Hurricane Ivan that hit Pensacola, Fl. where my parents live. Its been a long cleanup process and things are starting to return to normal 3 months later. I added a new link on the main page to my new graphics programming forum that my friend Vladimir and I setup to support our programming interests. Today is the boys birthday and I hear that they're going to have a party. I am unable to attend but i did get the chance to give them a party over the summer vacation so I hope their not too disappointed. 2004.07.28 - It's been a while. I'm having a fun filled (and busy) summer with the kids. I have not had much time the past few months to do much on the site. I did however get Family and Friends photos up for 1997, 1998, and 1999. I had to go through thousands of images and I finally picked out a set that I liked. Hope you enjoy. 2004.02.15 - Put some Panoramic's up. Check the photo link and take a look. They're quit nice, well to me anyway. 2004.02.01 - I know it's been a while, but I got side tracked. I told myself to put up what I had on the site because if I didn't, I may never finish. The Programming, Projects, and Consulting pages still needs work but I just don't have the time to get to it right now because thankfully I am swamped with work. I am planning a trip up to Toronto for a couple weeks to visit some friends and to ski a little. I'll post some pictures when I get back. 2003.08.25 - I started working on a book with a fellow programmer Vladimir Shulakov about DirectX Programming with the PowerBASIC compilers. The PB compiler is quite an accomplished piece of work and I really enjoy using it, however I do a great deal of Video and Graphics programming an found the translations for PB lacking. So Vladimir and I decided to undertake translation for use in our own work and to write a book in the process. Boy, it takes so much work to write a book. We both can only do it part time too so not sure when it will be done but were on it. 2003.04.22 - I just got a Dell Axim Pocket PC a few days ago. Having fun with it, now if I could only find something useful to do with it :) Well I did write a little java script to detect if the browser is coming from a Pocket PC and if so direct it to a page made for the ppc screen resolution. I started working on the ppc pages and have the index up. I will convert my full site for Pocket PC use soon. 2003.04.14 - I switched ISP's recently so the site has been down for a month or so. My previous ISP was charging too much and it was time for a switch. For everyone that I carry an email address for at cogni.to domain, please get in contact with me for new setup information. You can also access your email via webmail now so get in touch with me and I will get you the details, you know who you are. I am updating and transferring new pages to the site so some links will be missing until I get a little free time to update them. 2003.02.24 - Finally got the new version of the web site online. Not everything is working just yet but take a look around and please be sure to email me if you find anything out of place. 2003.01.04 - Happy New Year! Spent Christmas with the family. Worked quite a bit selecting pictures that I will post at the site soon.
